Mountain Hosts
Want to know where the locals ski at Apex? There are three mountains at Apex, so
make sure you know your way around them with a complimentary mountain tour. This
is an informal tour that departs daily at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Meet the
Mountain Hosts in front of the mountain map beside Hog on the Hill coffee shop
to discover what the mountains at Apex have to offer.
Night Skiing
Feel the powder brush against your face as you enjoy the beauty and peacefulness
of cruising down the mountain at night. Night skiing is available Friday,
Saturday, and holidays from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Orange Terrain Park
Get ready for some fun and smooth moves as you work your way around the Orange
Terrain Park. It has often been referred to as one of the best in the province.
The reason why? It covers 700 vertical feet on a base of man made snow for
optimal conditions all season. For the 2005/2006 Apex has made it possible to
enjoy the terrain even earlier because the main features have been built on dirt
allowing the park to open with less snow.
Apex is also in the process of building a second terrain park on Maverick called
Parkzilla. This exciting new addition will feature the mountains biggest and
longest landings. For those of you who love to kick-it-up and do tricks, both
parks are expanding to include lots of new rails. Get ready for some serious
action at Apex.
Other Group Activities
Looking for other fun things to do as a group? Apex offers a range of activities
for your group to enjoy and has all the equipment you need to enjoy it. The
Sales Department has equipment available for outdoor volleyball, broomball, and
soccer.

Snowmobile Tours
Imagine the fun you will have cruising the back country of Apex on a thrilling
back country Snowmobile Tour. Do you love to cruise at fast speeds? Then the one
hour sports ride is for you. Or, perhaps you’d rather take it easy on a two hour
scenic tour, or a four hour back country ride with lunch. And with your safety
in mind, helmets are always provided. Snowmobile suits, gloves and boots are
available for rent.
Snowshoeing
Enjoy the beautiful silence of the mountains on a Snowshoe Tour. Listen to the
snow crunch beneath your feet and breathe deeply as the fresh mountain air fills
your lungs. We know you love snow, and snowshoeing is just another way to enjoy
it.
Super Pipe
Another new addition for the 2005/2006 season is the Super Pipe located on the
Okanagan run. It is bigger and longer than the old pipe, giving you more speed
and opportunities to catch some air. And for those of you who can’t wait for the
park to open, Apex has built the new Super Pipe into the ground. This means the
park can open earlier in the season with minimal snow coverage.
Tim Hortons Tube Park
Get ready for lots of laughs as you zoom down the hill on a huge inner tube. Fun
for all ages, this popular activity is lift accessed and located right next to
the Mountain Shop. Hosting a special event? Make it memorable by contacting
Apex’s Sales Department to arrange a private bonfire with marshmallows, hot dogs
and hot chocolate at the base of the lift.
